Information for Families of Incoming Kindergarten Students:
Welcome to Mar Vista! We are all looking forward to meeting and greeting all of you on the first day of school. We know you have many questions about the how your child’s kindergarten experience will begin. Here are the answers!
Students and parent will meet their teachers in the Auditorium at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 9, 2009. At that time the children will meet their teachers and go to their classrooms. Parents will be invited back to the auditorium for a brief orientation, immediately following the children leaving for their classrooms.
Some important tips for the first day:
Cafeteria: Breakfast is served from 7:45 until 8:11, cost is $0.60.
Recess snacks are also $0.60.
Lunch is $1.00
Please note: Parents may purchase a charge card at the cafeteria. If you choose to send a snack and/or lunch with your child, be sure the container is labeled with your child’s name.
You do not need to send your child to class with any extra materials – pencils, workbooks, etc. are all provided in the class room.
